What in the fuckity fuck fuck is that damn thing? [(I love it!)(and know what it is)]
Last I heard you were done chasing the next bike since you found your haylo bike the king of all bikes - Hayabusa!
You really do have a sickness and should probably have a colleague do a mental evaluation because the illness is apparent to the rest of us.
5 hours ago, Pauly said:Lol... You must have missed the R1250GSA, then? All I know is if you can't get down with a GSA, then something is definitely amiss in the grey matter.
I won't deny any of these accusations 😭 as of now I need shock treatment. If not who in the right mind sells GSA and buys naked bike and then decides to cross two states on a rainy weather prediction 🤦🏽♂️

I will rise to the occasion and get my old ass on the Z1K in the morning and meet you after a productive bowel movment and a spirited ride to New Concord.
My man behave when you show up, we are not gonna devolve into hooliganism oky 🤣

Looks like a good day, no rain forecast
What happened to all the usual big ride OGs Hopefully you guys can make it, I see few of you guys are out of town for good reasons . ( @B-Mac 👍🏽 @Muckles 👍🏽 Tonik👎🏽) what about the usual life of party suspects? @Uncle Punk @MidgetTodd @Helmutt @snot @DerekClouser @whaler @Shoop @ricer1 missing many more multi time participants.
looking back all these years, many we came to meet during these OR rides and became life long friends are no longer with us 😞 such is life. Going to miss these guys forever. We never know when we going to get a chance again, So if there is any chance of making it happen just come by at least to the meet spot say hi and split off 👍🏽

Awesome, hopefully weather clears up as well. I am going to try and make it as well. Weekend off done, just need to tie up work and leave early enough Friday, will likely trailer there due to time constraints. Hopefully get to meet and ride with a lot of you chronic addicts. 😄

May 14th. Meet at New Concord Marathon at 10:30. If the group grows we can switch the meetup location. I’ll create a new post soon with details.
I think this guy already made a mental note of the dates.
on side note applying for off days, will be coming up through 16 and 536 and 800 and stuff, heck yaaaaa 🤙🏾

hope yall doing well. If this is planned and picking a random date with 2 months lead time I will also try to join. Miss riding with you folks, but not at all missing that weather any bit

Make it in august 😭

Let’s just say the experiment failed, this thing is harder to ride the tight stuff but way more rewarding. Overall the tendency to attack corners and all goes away but still this bike hides it heft and speed.
so I made the gap trip, all back roads one day up one day down. Wanted to meet @Blitz but timing didn’t work out. Next time any of you guys making a gap trip let me know may be I can try and meet up.

Going to keep this here for future, and probably soon, use.
Wish I could get down there next week to see you, I miss you man.
For sure plan a gap trip or at least a back of dragon WV 16 trip. We can link up. But choose roads with high speed sweepers only okay 🤣
1 hour ago, Uncle Punk said:Wait! Do you have three bikes now or did one go towards the Busa? (Please don't let it be the XR, I really want a new one)
I have had a Busa and understand you wanting one kinda but kinda not.
Mine was a 2005, the bike fit me better than any bike I had ever ridden, I put the most miles on it in the shortest period of time than with any bike I've ever owned, 15,000 miles in 16 months. It was a fantastic bike for riding on the street, I did my first three track days on it, totaled it on the third trackday. What a fun capable bike that does the backroads better than expected.
What I don't get other than your cultural issue is the ZX14 gave you everything the Busa has.
PS. Watching you ride the XR in your posted videos I'm impressed with how well you handle that thing.
Both the 890 and XR are listed for sale, the 890 is among all the bikes I owned the one I loved the most. I would venture to say the best one for corner carving ever. Been getting quite some query on that I haven’t responded promptly cause I don’t want to sell haha
the XR is still new, it’s a 2020 looks new as I take care of them really well, with almost all bmw options and packages and factory warranty left with nice upgrades fresh tires fresh service and will also get all recalls which includes new brembo calipers and fluid flush before sale. Asking 18.5 looking to score around 18, but for You i can do even lower, pm me punk we can talk.

Nothing like reliving the past. I remember Roamr & me seeing Nivin on his Busa Circa 2014 at the Bolivar DQ.
Good old days, I think that day I was wondering if I should hide or not haha was embarrassed to be seen with a zx14 lol
On 7/7/2021 at 1:48 PM, Uncle Punk said:Really???
He already has a 890R and a second gen S1000XR. What the hell is his problem?
I'm really jealous of the new current XR.
Riding Those bikes is like have two evil dark angels on both shoulders, no one is advising to slow down. Such a hoot but dangerous. The Xr was the perfect bike for me, in term of comfort handling weight height ergonomics electronics everything perfect fit. Still don’t know why I went with this piggy
On 7/7/2021 at 8:30 AM, TimTheAzn said:haha I just saw Nivin got a busa. That man has already owned more motorcycles than I will during my entire life.
😄 social media is crazy, I didn’t know you knew

Hello to all the guys and snot Long time no see, I did not make a guess bike thread but still tonic manages to skewer me some how haha. Quite obvious from the age of this thread busa has been a life long dream of mine. Something weird about Indians overall I guess, we like MJ, hayabusa and Arnold ‘sausenager’ , from very young age always liked the busa and finally pulled the trigger to get one once it came packed with safety net electronics.
stylistically, statistically, economically, common sense wise this bike doesn’t make any sense at all for me and my type of riding. But May be exactly the antidote I need to behave as I don’t like straight line speed and enjoy faster cornering. Busa is build opposite to that. But I look at it as a lesser weight gold wing for my size, hefty long low plush suspension wind protection, low rpm highway mile munching, less comfortable but can be tweaked and not as horrible as a cruiser in handling. The weird irony of this is buying one fo the most powerful heavy bike to go slow is hard to explain, esp to ones wife. Don’t know I been seeing a lot of 🤦🏽♂️ When I talk about it lately haha
this bike I will be keeping for long time since I bought new, full msrp and fluff fees and what not always bought gently used bikes and sold without much financial hit, this one I have to keep it… good thing I am loving it so far.
@durk it was not me there, wish I could have made it to say hi to you. Next week if opportunities arise I might try to swing by dragon area and meet @Blitz @2talltim just have to get this bike to turn enough to get there in one piece 🤣
hopefully get to meet you all some day some where. May be in august I am trying to see if I can swing by Ohio one weekend for a ride. My be we can do an epic ride with all 15 or so remaining active members
quintessential pictures. You guys know I love to take pictures and share.

Welcome Rich
that day I was waiting for @durk when I saw you, you see the similarities with Cbr and tail bags there right
should link up with @Skinny guy as well since he rides the same roads you do most days

Are you running hypersmooth stabilization? Not sure which GoPro you have, but it's possible you are recording at too high resolution/FPS and they are shutting down hypersmooth stabilization. Run 1080/60 and the camera stabilization is phenomenal. This could be your issue.
Finally got a good laptop and able to compress with proper codec and things seems to work out pretty well

Dayum
RIP link
he was a great guy and very good mature rider as well. Seems like the car crossed center line and got him. I am100% sure he was atgatt and riding within his limits And reacted and did everything right. And despite that it’s just what it is. This is really sad news.
Stay safe out there OR fam. just today I was telling my wife how OR cultivates a lot of safe riding habits. for eg last 10 yrs we didn’t have any fatal crash or even real bad crash for members and in the NC FB group in the three months I been lurking I think 4 fatalities and other real bad accidents.

Some sleep and food, ready to type again.
first off @durk so awesome for you to take the initiative to post the ride and put this together. And it seems like your not jinxed like me or Derek and granted with great weather when every where else around it was raining. And my friend that connie fits you like a glove and you ride it so well and fast. It was perfect pace and smoooooooth. It could use more dampening and preload in rear shock if you have that option.
it was fantastic to meet everyone. It felt like coming home to a family dinner without the dysfunctional component, well May be some 😄 all the familiar faces and meeting some new ones. These days over in NC as well I just go out and ride for 2 days all mountain roads and back but this one was way longer but so much more satisfying to have a goal to meet y'all. I wish I could have finished the ride but that would have been the death of me, good thing I split of when I did.
next one I plan to take an extra day and finish the ride. Or better you guys join me for the WV loop on my way down or the way up. I took all back roads 16 mainly up and back as well through Virginia 33. Beautiful. (Ps: if you haven't done wv 31 do it )
@Uncle Punki still clearly remember it as yesterday the first ride I think like 14 yrs ago or so. That was my second ever ride in US (the first ever one I low sided 🤣) still didn't know how to ride these big cc bike. You patiently waited and swept the whole way. I was feeling very guilty ruining you ride and asked you to go have fun multiple times. You were the one who's told me don't fear revving the sport bike engine to higher rpm. Till then I used to ride like in Indian mentality highest gear lowest rev more mpg 😄😄 since that day I haven't seen any rpm below 10 lol And yesterday, you pulled a fast one, literally came with Santa Claus beard and all mature and gentlemanly. I was thinking you changed, if not would never have chased you on tour favorite playground of 83 hahah but it turned out really really fun my friend, you still go like a mad man. I am pretty sure my bike flew for a bit going triple digit on one of those bumps 🤯, I could not keep that intensity going on the last fishy section with uneven pavement right on the corners but felt so good to see you just glide on that without one second of hesitation 👍🏽 Sorry to hear about the oopsy check eBay for parts, XR always shows up. The naked bike and those speeds is really crazy, I have a sore spot on the chin where the chin bar was pressed against from all the wind blast.
@Grokked so sorry to hear this news, hopefully you heal up soon. Unfortunate and off course Joel is the right person with the great helping mind, especially southern Ohio is his region of reign. 👍🏽
@Pauly hope to meet you soon somewhere in the mountains my friend. Didn't get to talk much at all. @Skinny Rick we will keep talking about how to set up our bike. If you haven't done so far, make sure you set the preload right using the bmw tool. Transforms the bike.
uploaded bunch of pics to the album, I set our early morning to do some back roads and ended up in Muskie for the quintessential picture
will definitely be doing this loops again, 3 days and no rain , a better seat and windscreen, it will be perfect. Some amazing roads. Don't know why I love 78 so much, it's the banking I guess, to just go through the whole road in 5-6 gear full throttle and not fly off the corner since the banking is so high is a rarity among roads in NC.
