  1. I’d think they would obviously be putting in new valves, piston and rings. The things I would be concerned about on top of that are the rod and valve guides. Looks like there was some major contact with the piston and valves there. I’d be asking about all the shrapnel that went through your motor as well. My advice is just based off of damage I’ve done to single cylinder quad motors, so others may have better advice. Sorry to hear they’re changing things up on you. I hope they get the bike back to you before the end of the season and it’s as good as new when you get it.
  2. Having a bike for close to 9 years and putting 21,000 miles on it, then selling it for just $500 less than you paid for it is impressive.

    Saturday 8-4 ride

See you 2 in the morning. My hopes are for us to be rolling down 83 no later than 10:30. I will check in the morning to see if anybody else is joining. I will be on the road at 7AM making my way to New Concord.

    Saturday 8-4 ride

i should be at the New Concord Marathon around 10. Should I look for anyone?
  5. Price for Roadsmart 3 190/50/17 120/70/17
  6. I’ve hauled multiple bikes on a trailer with no choke or anything other than ratchet straps. Put the bike in gear and 4 straps, good to go. I did recently pick up a canyon dancer. Makes it a little nicer than looping around the lower triple and the fork. For a ramp I have a couple 2x8 or 10s with that slotted L channel on the ends that are 6ft long. I place the boards side by side and walk next to the bike with it idling and just using the clutch to help so I don’t have to push it up.

    Saturday 8-4 ride

That’d be great. Be great to ride with you again. I hope the weather cooperates.
  8. Dave hang in there. My Dad dealt with vertigo a few years ago. He works construction and is up and down ladders and such. They gave him some exercises to do that helped. Then he slowly started climbing ladders and such around his house. Last year he walked the wall with me on my pole barn as we set trusses. For the most part he is back 100%.

    Saturday 8-4 ride

Jim you can’t use words like that. I’m just a small town math teacher. I had to look that up. What better way to celebrate a birthday than a nice meander through SEO? Hope you can make it.
  10. I actually bought EBay China plastic that is the black/silver color scheme that I run on the street because I don’t like the blue/yellow. You’re not the first to say they like the blue/yellow, so maybe I just have bad taste.

    Saturday 8-4 ride

@Skinny guy more than likely my pace from Lisbon to New Concord will be more like med-fast. It will be early and I had a sheriff stop me about a month ago on 164. Thankfully he let me go with a warning. From New Concord on things may be different. I know last year when @jacobhawkins and I rode we had a group that had a variety of speed and it all worked out. I don’t plan to leave anybody behind. Feel free to join in if you like and ride your ride. @B-Mac sounds good.

    Saturday 8-4 ride

Plan to ride this Saturday as long as weather looks good. Pace will be med-fast to fast is my guess. Plan to run Lisbon 8AM 164-9-22-285-70(11 miles?) New Concord 10/10:30AM 83-78-377-555-676-26-260S-7-800-26-537-260N-145-78 or 800. May stop for lunch in Marietta 30 min or so. Let me know if you’re interested.
  13. Originally I was going to ride with my daughter today over to West Virginia but she was too sore from volleyball conditioning. So, I made my way solo to South East Ohio via some roads I have not rode in a while. Had a blast. Logged about 400 miles in like eight hours. If you have not ridden 145 north in a while, or never I suggest doing it. They have re-paved just north of 260 and the rest of it is in great shape all the way to 800. The weather was just about perfect today for riding. I hope some of you got to get out and enjoy it as well. It’s been a while since I have ridden on the street and to be honest I was starting to feel like @TimTheAzn. I was getting tired of the commute to get to good roads, but today reminded me that it’s worth it. Even tried to focus on some of the things I noticed about my riding style at my track day at mid-O.
  14. It’s a good thing you’re a strong young fella capable of handling those falls B-Mac. I guess I’m soft. I switch to four wheels for trail riding. Looks like a good time. Thanks for sharing the video.
  15. At 52 and 46 if you can’t afford a fish aquarium you’re doing it wrong.
  16. This is a route I ran a couple years ago in Pennsylvania. https://www.mapquest.com/directions/list/1/us/oh/jefferson/to/us/pennsylvania/endeavor-pa-283592014/to/us/pennsylvania/sheffield-pa-282026534/to/us/pennsylvania/bradford-pa-282027830/to/us/pennsylvania/stickney-pa-283397088/to/near-41.838206,-79.178092/to/us/pennsylvania/corry-pa-282034711/to/us/oh/jefferson?ogimageStrokeColor=#5882fa The best roads are probably 27 from Meadville to Titusville, 770, was fun, and 346 if you ignore the 35mph limit. 666 would be more fun if it was in better shape. I’m not sure where you’re coming from but to me the place to start that route is Meadville. SEO is definitely better than this, but the route entertained me.
  17. I believe Carter Lumber has a pole barn estimator on their website, at least they used to. You could use that and I would guess you could find a contractor that could give you a ballpark price per square foot to get a rough estimate. Carter’s estimate was a little high but it gave me an idea of what the cost would be.
  18. I built a 24 x 32 last year 10ft wall height. It is an actual barn with 3 sliding barn doors and 1 garage door. I think I did it for like 6k. That is all materials. I did all the labor myself. I bought my metal from the Amish. Saved me $1000-1500. No warranty on metal of course, but I’ve not heard anything good about any of the warranties.
  19. I might be in for this. Have to see what’s going on as we get closer to the date.
  20. I had a blast on Monday guys. Thanks for organizing this Jacob and encouraging me to take my skirt off to ask for the evaluation. It was great to meet some new guys and catch up with others I know. I need to start working a side job in the summer so I can afford to do this track thing more often.
  21. Bike loaded up and pretty much all set to leave in about an hour after I run to town for dinner with my daughter. Looking forward to beating on the bike tomorrow.
  22. Glad to hear you’re good. Sorry about the bike.
