You sir are welcome to a test ride. Maybe not 536 though.
-
Still here. Mileage up a bit though.

Hate to hear this but great to hear you walked away. Bikes are replaceable.

Had good luck with similar projects. Ripped 2x for framing and got everything nice and level. Don't forget support for lighting especially if you plan on a ceiling fan.

I gotta say this style of bike is a lot of fun. I picked up a mean streak this spring and once I finally got it sorted I do enjoy riding it. Bike goes over way further than you'd think. Just took a cruiser trip to the gap and I had way more fun than the rest of the bunch.

Seems you got some skill in finding sweet machines. Odds are good next time I'm down by the river I'll see a trail of smoke somewhere.

Sorry I had to duck out today. Good roads great pace. Pretty sure I fixed the issue. Probably coulda made the rest of the ride but better safe than sorry. Thanks for letting me tag along.

The bead breaker on the HF unit works well. Just had to put some 2x4's together to lay tire on to not damage the rotors. I cut a piece out of a milk jug to wrap around breaker so I won't scratch rim. Mojoblocks do a good job of protecting rim I changer. I've mounted a spec angels for the zrx and they're harder but definitely doable. Technique with the bar has a lot to do with it.

I also use the harbor freight setup with the moto attachment. I bought a mojolever for slipping them off and mojoblocks made to fit into the HF changing stand. Marc Parnes static balance works very well also. All equipment paid for itself in one season.

JV football every Saturday morning of the month but I'll do my best to intercept one of the groups after.

Never a dull moment in this garage. Steering felt a bit notchy so I took a peek. All the rain on the gap trip musta got in the stem there wasn't much grease. I think I caught it quick enough to save the bearings. Gonna grease it good and give it a shot.

My garage has a 3 bike limit and I'm gonna have to look for something smaller. My son is just about the age to ride. To be honest this is the nicer of my two ZRX's but sale of the red one may cause divorce.

Guess I should update this. Tried to slab home but I couldn't take it and broke off from the pack in Kentucky. No route in mind just got lost for a few hours then flipped on the gps and headed back home. Turned out to be a pretty nice ride. I replaced all my exhaust studs and got everything bolted back up so bike is fixed. For me this made three trips to the gap on three different bikes in the past year and I can't wait to go back next year.

Here's a copy of the craigslist ad The bike needs nothing asking $5000 obo. Will work with OR member on price. Hope she finds a good home. Selling my 2001 ZRX1200 R 12,000 miles on bike. Bike has been almost completely gone thru this year. Carbs professionally rebuilt and Ivan's jet and air box kit added as well as full stainless exhaust. Repainted pearl white and all blue on bike is powdercoated. Clutch and brake system rebuilt and stainless steel lines added, calipers also rebuilt. Racetech and Hagon suspension front and rear and fork brace. Custom made Sargent seat and sequential LED tail light added. New chain and tires this year. I've put about 3,000 miles on this year and can say the bike is solid and engine is very strong. Asking 5,000 OBO. No joy rides. Test ride with cash in hand.

Picked up a pair of the ixs close out waterproof gloves at pony and they are nice. They also had some full on winter gloves.

Got the mean streak cleaned up from the gap trip. One of my exhaust studs busted off going down the skyway. The leak had the pipes shooting flames about 2 feet according to the guy behind me. I unused a big ass hose clamp to hold it together till I got home. There was just enough stud left to weld a nut on for removal. Replaced all the studs and hardware and new gaskets. Seems every time I head south something's gonna break.

Plan was to head back two days , two lane through Kentucky.

Not many pics. Wish I had a GoPro today. Turns out bear are smarter than deer because they run for the ditch and not your head light. Thought we were gonna plow a momma bear and 2 cubs on the tail. Not sure how we are getting back. The guys wanna head back a day early and I think they plan to slab it. Normally I'd just go my own way but I had to rig up a busted exhaust bolt so I better stay with the pack.

Left home Friday and mostly 2 lane to just north of Boone. 16 is one of the most fun roads I've ever been on. Saturday we headed for Townsend by way of Hot Springs past Fontana and the tail. Yesterday was the skyway Krambonz and magie valley then through the park and across fighting creek rd. Weather has been sketchy but the roads have been great. Definitely learning to handle the cruiser in the tight shit. Good bit of grinding. Townsend is awesome compared to Fontana. Good cell signal, great restaurants and a clean laundromat with a nice coffee shop next door. The gateway inn has nice clean rooms. Just over 1000 miles in first 3 days. The BBQ joint here in Townsend is one of the best I've ate at. Hopefully we'll be able to dodge the rain drops today.

Got the meanstreak cleaned up and starting to go through it before Friday's gap trip. Gonna be damn hard to take the cruiser on the trip. Thinking I better have the zrx ready to go as well. There may be a last minute change of plan.

I have three of them. Oldest one from season before last. No issues
