Forks being refreshed. Tires, front pads, oil change, coolant flush happening this week. Mirror situation was handled first thing. Ordered a new fuel fill cap, too. This one is a little too bedazzled for my archaic sensibilities.

Rode it on my 1st "fun" ride of the season around the Hocking Hills.  Im out of shape for riding and I forgot to take ibuprofen at lunch...  I'm pretty sore now.  🤭

Just got tires mounted on the new MT09.  Decided to try the new Bridgestone T33 due to their lofty claims.

I am seriously impressed with the handling and power delivery.  The front suspension is fantastic, and it pulls out of corners like a freight train.

I added a Puig Touring Screen and a T-Rex center stand.  I'm considering adding a top box, but if I do it would be hard to justify keeping the BMW R1200R and after riding it for 40k I have little interest in parting with it.

If you’re interested in a Givi Maxius 56 ltr topcase, I still have one I used on my vstrom. Mark didn’t want any of the cases when he bought the Strom a few years ago.  It’s in great condition.  $150 (includes mounting brackets for a 2012 vstrom)

If you’re interested, I’ll look for photos (it’s currently stored in my garage attic )

Edit:  found a photo

Love the Valk... have a 99... if the newer ones were more styled traditionally I would have grabbed one..

It's showroom condition, 2700 miles (more now), and it already has all the hard to find Honda accessories.

Lighter than the GW, with firmer suspension and a touch more lean angle.

Did you finally replace the 1250 RS you never should have sold in the first place?

Close. I sold the slightly-less capable R1200RS and have purchased a R1250RS.

Notable differences:

TFT dash w/ Connectivity, Ride Modes PRO, Cornering ABS, smoother quick shifter, moar HP/torque.

@Bubba was right and I knew it all along.

Are you keeping the Z-Rex?

...Cornering ABS...

The 2015+ 1200s have a "Bank Angle Sensor" that feeds info to the ABS and TC.  As I remember reading about it, a "Bank Angle Sensor" is essentially a 2 axis IMU.  Pretty advanced for 2015, and feels quite similar to the systems on my 2024 MT09 that has every electro-whiz-gadget.
