Next Dyno is within a Week.... we'll see what Brian can squeeze outta this hairdryer with just a 3.6" Pulley.

I love the amount of money people have in their cars and the times they run. I had just alil bit over 15k in the vette and was runnin low 10's with 140 traps. Not saying that is crazy but people with over 20k in their cars and are not runnin low 10's or faster makes me LOL.

I know, I would be pissed if my 50k car didnt run 11.80 stock as well. It was good thing I only paid half that for mine. But then again it makes me laugh buying a 20k "sports car" with a v8 that will barely get out of the 14's with mods..

Woo-hoo, almost one year later and I still don't have the pullies on. I am the laziest Cobra owner ever... :D

If I were to add up all my rediepts and show them to everyone you would all laugh and point with the dumbass that owns a 4 cylinder VW.

 

for the money I could have my dream car "EVO" and My C5 I always talk about.

 

But I like the VW its difrent and pyou dont see to many around that are as fast as mine.

$2800 give or take I'm sure there's more, countless tires up in smoke

first pass 4 yrs ago 14.10 1/4mile at 98 mph pretty lame

last pass prior to trans and converter, with ailing trans 12.94 at 110, still never seen a dyno, really needs suspension, and a quieter exhaust

humm..96 Gst..$5oo for the car, a few cans of spray paint, wheel berring and lower control arm...total less then $1000

the talon..Less tehn $4000 altogether

god love DSMs!!!

 

They mean total, not what you have to spend every other month on the dsm. ;)

 

Let me think...

3k for the car, in excellent condition, fully stock

2k for motor build

$350 turbo back exhaust

$200 radiator

$150 built tranny (still need new torque converter and stall)

$5 manual boost controller (currently off car)

$300 4wheel brake upgrade - slotted rotors and pads

And of course, misc little shit that adds up.

 

Still need to upgrade the stock 440injectors and my fuel pump. Possibly buy an sAFC. Then the boost goes up... way up compared to the 7psi I currently run. Hard to beat bang for buck on these cars and still have the great cross country rides this car provides. I get out of my car with less back pain than I had when I got into it.

i have spent 1200-1500 in parts

i got 390 rwhp

32 MPG highway

12.4 @ 117 quarter mile

0-60 in 4.1 sec

able to stop 60-0 in 100 ft

top speed 200+ MPH

it can handle at least 1.4 G's (thats as high as i've had it)

it was designed for the road course

it's sexy

and it has all the luxury anyone could ever want

 

 

having a car you can drive to the track,

slap on racing numbers,

race,

drive home,

and take your girlfriend out to dinner in the same night - PRICELESS
