Removing tire rubber off of rear fenders

Racing rubber remover, forget who makes it. It is a spray thing.

 

Yes, its a Mother's product. Got some at Jeg's, if you have a good coat of wax on the car before hand this stuff takes rubber off really well. Even without wax it takes it off with a few applications.

 

Honestly in the past when I have a hard time getting shit off, tar, rubber, whatever I use a little gasoline on a rag. Then clean well and wax.

PB blaster dissolves it better than anything I tried but like WD-40 makes a smeared up mess.. For whatever reason ethanol removes it easily without making a smeared mess. So my answer is E-85 FTMFW

 

Really just depneds on the level of solvent you're dealing with. Obviously gas and E85 are going to be pretty darn strong. WD-40 or the like is still strong but not horribly.

 

NO matter what make sure you clean the surface and wax when finished and don't let any solvent dwell on the surface of the paint TOO long as it can cause damage.
