Hankook was the tire last year. Now this year they are a second behind the top tire, seriously.

I've seen 1.41 G peak max in turns and 1.2 Gs constant loading throughout the turn.

Bridgestone nailed the tire this year. If you aren't running the tire you're not going to be at the top of your game. Easy as that.

This would be Kyle Herbst, btw ^^

Yeah but these poverty tires aren't made in meaty 285 width for proper powerhouses, only these little rx8-sized 245s PFFFF

I suspect we'll see these super sticky re71s will be overheated at a track day and wear much faster than rs3v2 in the same size/application.

Buy me a set of rivals, I'll bet you a ginger ale they're faster than rs3s on my car

It's all subjective, my friend.......

I did not say anything about track use, this is the hot autocross tire right now....the national level guys only want the highest and most effective grip they can get. If that means they will suffer some in longevity of the tire, they really don't care. Guys have been getting about 125 runs out of the RE71's before they start to 'fall on their face.'

Hell, guys from Nationals in the past have had 3 sets of Sticker A6's for each run to avoid the OPR after coming off course for each run....is this a bit on the extreme side, yes, but is it done, yes.

The Rival S has proven itself at Spring Nationals, when a Mini in STX won the class over a BRZ/FRS, but the Rival S has not been the tire of choice for the East coast guys....yet. I think only time will tell, but the Hankook has fallen in populatiry and are being sold off by all the hot shoes in the country and people are either going with RE71's or the Rival S for now.....

Eager to see how the rest of the events play out, and whether they can in fact, handle these hot summer months.

You think the Bridgestone will cope with June July august heat?

And rival s is behind rs3v2 huh?

Yes to Stones....and please refer back to 'Appendix A' :p

Curious how you now say they haven't been proven in heat, yet above said they'd do fine in heat?

Also, now rival S is second best tire over rs3v2?

thirdly 125 runs is like 20 OVR events :gabe:

bruh.....

Well, you are just a testy little feller today, aren't you......

Heat, I am referring to co-driving and not having to spray the tires as much or complaints about it.......

They have not been tested in 90-100* heat yet, but have been put through the paces with 2 drivers running them back to back....

I will refer back to my subjective part, but the Kooks are still being used by some.....Many national championships have been won with the Kooks....none with the Rival S so far....any not many with the Non-S, for that matter...which explains my highly scrutinized rankings....

Is that better, pumpkin? :slap::popcorn:

RS3v2s need to be sprayed on a 40 second autocross course. The constant heat cycling they experience from heating up, cooling to ambient is not good for the tire.

On a RS3v2 you'll see 100 runs on the tire before they heat cycle out and fall on their face. You'll know it too.

My RE-71Rs have been pryometer temps of 140*F, and only get faster. Haven't even sprayed yet in 85F conditions and the tire is sticky as can be.

Anyways, my RE-71Rs with 60 runs on them. Need to flip after this weekend.
