OK not a totally new rider. I grew up riding dirt bikes and ATV's. Had a Ninja 500 in college and sold it when i was 8 months pregnant with first child (he is now 19). Recently returned from Afghanistan and after that hell I decided to change just about everything about my life. Bought a Vulcan 500 (everyone calls it my mid-life crisis). I have found that it is not easy to find a group to ride with because wives don’t like their men hanging with a single lady. Guess I can’t say I blame them. LOL Live near Beavercreek OH and look forward to making friends on here!

Not saying it is. Not looking for a date, only trying to find a group that can go on rides and not cause trouble at home. I respect how others feel. Sorry if it came off as looking for a date. I know tons of guys that ride, but their wives don't. They finally told me why i never got invited on their rides. I don't have trouble finding my own dates, but they don't ride.

no I know what you're saying, just making a joke at somewhat of my own expense. If we had a singles club, I'd have to be President :D

First lesson of Ohio Riders, don't take anything personally. Everyone goofs with everyone.

Also sounds like the women don't trust the guys you know. There are a few of us that ride and have had women show up on the rides. I have yet to have trouble from the wife.

and sorry, I couldn't resist on the last one.

I used to ride with a single lady... Now I'm married to her.

Welcome to the site. Lots of horny goofballs here that have jealous wives at home.

That's their problem not yours. Just ride and be happy and live your life.

If I may ask what did you do in the 'Stan.?

If you dont want to talk about it i get that.

Lots of Vets here, myself included.

Again Welcome and Enjoy.

I was Air Force embedded with the Army's 101st.

I was sent as an IA (individual Augmentee) and had no training on the job I found myself in. Most I can tell you was that my office was in charge of all the Helicopters for Northern Stan (RC-East). It was the best and worst experience of my life. All I can say is that the Air Force doesn’t prepare 95 % of their folks to see and hear what I did. I came back a very changed person. I tell people that being over there was like life being in vivid color (stress, danger and death) and coming back home was like living GRAY. Riding my bike gives me back some of those feelings again.
