Just remember your in his cabin. What happens in the porn-dog cabin stays in the porn-dog cabin.:lol:

Another thing I find scary is Microsoft isn't telling me porn-dog isn't and word and actually says it's spelled correctly. :wtf:

Think it's because when you hyphenate anything so long as both ends of the hyphen are words and spelled correctly it won't give you the red squiggly

Or maybe Joel is good buddies with Bill Gates and he had him put in into the Microsoft dictionary? Yea that's what I'm going with.

Here's how my gap trip started the night before last.  My straps were too long to hook up with canyon dancer. I should have lowered the bike down and tied off the canyon dancer but instead I decided to try to strap it around the lower triple tree. I got the clutch side strap on without issue. I had to use both hands to get the strap through on the throttle side. As I was doing that I bumped the bike off center and shifted the weight past the balance point and it started falling. I was able to slow it down but it fell and busted the front of the lower fairing, shattered the mirror, scratched the tank and all the fairings on the left side. Had to throw on some zip ties and gorilla tape (in honor of Harambe) and its ready to ride. Made it to my buddies house in NM last night took it out for a quick ride and it runs fine. We're picking another guy up in Dallas tonight at 6:30 then hoping to make it to Louisiana tonight and then Robbinsville tomorrow.

Just checking in. Awesome fucking trip so far.

Mark from ADV offered to let me camp on his property last night,  not far from Zaleiski State Forest. Ended up sleeping in his garage with a friend of his Jimmy who was joining us in the morning on a DS ride deeper into S Central Ohio , Mark on a brand new WR250, his Brother Jim on a TW200, Jim's brother on a XR250 and me on China, placing me near the Ohio River.

Fed me breakfast too. Great guys. BMac knows em.  Did a cool ride on some awesome dirt roads. We parted ways and I crossed into WV and immediately turned off Rt2 on the first dirt road heading S. It wasn't until about 45 min later that I noticed the low fuel light and got pissed  that I hadn't topped off when I had the chance. Didn't end up needing my aux. 1/2 gal, but was close. Went over 200 miles on that tank at fillup. Rode over 100 miles of very gnarly WV back roads. No doubt I heard fiddles playing.

Then the fucking rain hit. Off and on and heavy. Rainsuited up, Trodding on like Bob Marley would say. Around 6 decided to look for a motel. Figured I could dry out my riding gear, and knowing tomorrow will be rain all day, at least start the day all dry.

If I would have camped, I would have started the day with a wet fucking tent and footprint, possibly wet bag, etc etc.

Still supposed to be awesome weather after Sunday's front moves by. 420 miles today.

Good to hear your still with us and was not taken hostage by the WV natives.

Roads have been wet all day but I don't think a single drop of rain has hit me. I made a couple detours to make sure that's what was going to happen but I have enjoyed the roads I've been on. I'm clean and dry buy the bike is filthy. I'm sitting on the south side of Charleston getting lunch and th e radar looks like if I hang out here for about a half hour more or so and then head for route 3 I'll finish my day dry. Here's to hoping

We drove straight through from New Mexico yesterday and just got settled in. Going to try to grab some sleep then head out for a bit after a power nap.

Am camping tonight at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground...

Please tell Phil that Bubba from LocalRiders says "hey"  Have fun there--it's a great place to settle in.  Great breakfasts and dinners on the weekends, too!!!

Be sure to run the south side of 215 from the BRP to Rosman and 281/Canada Rd from 64 at Lake Toxaway to all the way to Tuckasegee.  Some of the best twisty runs in the area!!!

At my hotel in Galax 430 miles today. Mostly avoided the interstate maybe only 30 or 40 miles worth. Avoided most of the rain maybe only 1 hours worth, but my gear did it's job and I am dry as a bone. WV 3 and wv 10 were awsome roads but WV 71 was a cow path. Did some nice routes through VA but that's where I hit most of the rain.

fucked up moment of the trip so far. GEt to camp, set up camp, start cooking and relaize my iphone's missing from the Ram mount. Apparently parted ways somewhere in the woods on NC. I rode lotsa miles of hairy stuff spurring off the BRP.

Not gonna bother trying to retrace that shit. Will head into the big city in the morning for a replacement and just roll with it.

Really nice campground.

That thing is prob toast anyway.

so...I email my son and Dad telling them that I was without phone for a day and what happened. Dad emails me right back saying find a phone and call me. Borrowed a camper's phone and called him and turns out some guy found the phone on a forest road undamaged and called him. Gotta ride 130 miles NE to Boone in  the am to get it.

Glad I sent that email.

Holy crap that's awesome.
