Aaron
The 3.2 with a 6 speed is also intruiging for a nice reliable DD. However S-line 3.2 6 speed Avant is as rare or more rare than S4 Avant 6 speed.
Aaron
Are you like 300 pounds? I weigh 205 and had plenty of room in a Legacy. Yes I am, 340. That is not what the problem is. Its the leg room. 6'6". Thanks though :asshole:
street pilot
the 2008 STI is a possibility. My vote is for a WRX. Dont get an 08 Sti, 09 WRX is a better value.

TTQ B4U
I do not know Jason. I would be interested to see his car. A chipped GTI will pull a stock R32 from a roll, but like you said, R32 from a dig. Not a fan of the standard WRX, even the new 265hp version. I might be looking at an SUV also lol. Here's his project car. 100% as clean as when new. He restored / had done most everything down to clips holding wires. Shifts like the gears are rolling on ball bearings. http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publish/article_2244.shtml http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/uploads/ab_jman5000_06.jpg Older pic of his R32. Doesn't do it justice I think he has newer wheels http://www.pbase.com/olsenautox/image/31184863.jpg Link to his old Turbo VW. This was one of my favorite rides he had. http://www.jwelty.com/jwelty3/jasonzatrock-golf-1.jpg He had a nice black anniversary edition too but traded it for the R32. PM him from vwvortex.com or ohiovw.com He's a whirlwind of knowledge for modding VW's.
unfunnyryan
How about a new accord? It really can fill every requirement you have listed and will hold its value far longer than any other car recommended.
Patrick
1996 Accord LX 4 door 5 speed in green or a Unimog.
Aaron
I don't know of any mid-size sedans you'll fit into then.. Get an F-150 or something. Impreza, MKV cars(rabbit, gti, r32, jetta), Passat, Fusion, Camry etc........ Accord, Legacy all do not have enough leg room. I am limited by either my shoulder width or my leg room. :gtfo:

zeitgeist57
1) CTS-V with a set of snowies for the winter... ...or... 2) $3000 beater and a C5 Corvette w/ aftermarket turbo kit.
1qwk767
I would say a Trail Blazer SS, or if you could find a Jeep SRT-
Radio Flyer1647545514
It does not snow enough for me to invest in snow tires. Nor do I have traction control. I don't even think that was an option in 1988. My friends Audi is a blast to drive too. Or the BMW 325xi.
ZappBrannigan
I'd buy a delorean, swap in the most powerful engine that could fit in it, and go back to the future

HotCarl
Curious.... you keep mentioning buying some sort of Audi then putting on aftermarket parts. Wouldn't this void any warranty you were hoping to get in the first place? Are you limited to buying brand new or would a slightly older (2 years or so) car with an aftermarket warranty suffice? kenny
If you buy anything other than an Evo for that you lose.
SpaceGhost
If you buy anything other than an Evo for that you lose. Yes buy that DSM reliability for a Daily. Brilliant. Daily STI>Daily EVO. SUbaru is way nicer on the inside for a DD. I will agree EVO Performance > STI. But for Daily, Pre 08 STI hands down. Kenny you need to back away from the keyboard. Your fucked in the head after that drive in to work. If you had an STI it Wouldn't have been stressful. http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/storm-RYAN-15.jpg
