Lauren, Kenny, and I went to one of the last Test and Tunes at Kilkare last year. Your brother and Dave were there. Lauren had never been down the track until that night. My goal was for her to run a 13.99 by the end of the night. Her first pass was in the 13.80's Kenny was like "GOD DAMN that girl can drive". I posted pics and a thread that night about Lauren going to the track. Kenny said something along the lines of putting Lauren up against half the people here on CR. He made an impression on Lauren. I would give anything to go back to that evening.

I missed that night at Kilkare last year, I wished I could have made it. It always made me laugh when he talked about the driving skills at the track rentals. Deep down I always wanted a chance to race him in one of the many turbo buicks he owned. Sadly enough I fired my white car up for the first time in four years just hours before this happened. I must say in these sad times the thought of half of his comments still can bring a smile.

Kenny would have called me a "fag" for lighting a candle in his memory...

...but then Joe, Ben, and Scotty came by and we gave him a proper ceremony.

I hadn't seen Kenny since the days of Carriage Place, Circuit City, and Donatos...but there is indeed truth to the power of an "internet friendship". If anyone wants to see what is still going on in his memory, call Ben's cell phone (I left about 20 minutes ago...)

Man what a night. Kenny would be proud. We stood around on the street corner drinking. We bullshitted about times past, made a few abortion jokes Kenny would've laughed at, etc. Clay, Joe, Scotty, it was great seeing you guys. I know Kenny enjoyed listening to our rants and off color jokes tonight.

I'm actually tearing here. I just saw kenny a few weeks ago and we were bsing about back when he had his broken leg. He was always such a smart ass lol, but he had such a good heart. He helped me a time or two and it REALLY meant a lot to me(helped keep me out of jail).

Rest peacefully man.

I'd seen Kenny two Saturdays ago playing pool with Ricky. I hear someone yell my name, and it's Kenny, giving me the finger from across the bar...typical Kenny:D:(

Going to miss his random IMs about work sucking, or sending me pics of turbo Buicks.

Rest In Peace, Kenny

Actually, he would probably be trolling the fuck out of all of us.

I wish I didn't have to work last night, I would have been out there with you guys.

All of this has me realizing that its been too fucking long since I've hung out with a lot of friends. I need to fix this.

Just listening to Kenny make fun of mister gull-wing Honda was all that night needed to be enjoyed. That guy was like a fly on sh*t whenever Lauren got out of the Cobra. I think that was the last time I saw Kenny. I was hoping to see him at the Test and Tune nights with the Cark. Damn, this sucks.

I can't believe this......

I was only on for a few minutes yesterday, when I seen the thread title under daily ride I thought it was just one of those stupid threads with someone else's picture. Then the banner was up this morning.

:(

RIP Kenny

I hope that Kenny can see this in some way to know how much people cared about him. Of course, it will also give him a boatload of fodder to flame the fuck out of all of us for being weeping pansy asses...

Kenny was a CR icon in every since of the word. He was always - always - true to himself and what he believed, and he never caved or compromised or yielded. He never changed an iota in all the years I had the privilege of knowing him. Also, it didn't matter if you were his buddy or his enemy on here, he'd give it to you straight. He despised all things roll racing, Cleveland Browns, and the Columbus Police Department, and he wouldn't hesitate to remind you of those things whenever he felt you needed reminded. He was continuously an imposing force on this board - whether or not you agreed with him, you definitely respected him. When Kenny spoke, people listened.

Ever notice how Kenny's posts were always very short, very direct, and effective? I always admired that about him - where it would take someone like me two or three paragraphs to get something across, he could do it in a line or two. He's one of the very few people on this board that I really had no desire to ever cross or get into a battle of wits with - because I always knew I was just simply outmatched.

I am honored to be able to call Kenny my friend. I will miss him very much, and I hope that, in the coming days, weeks, and years, we can do his memory and life justice in our tributes to him. CR will never, ever be the same without him, though it was undoubtedly made a better, much more unique place because of him.
