What did you do to your bike today?

A buddy and I rode 400 miles into WV for the night. Getting ready for breakfast tacos and coffee and then a quick zoom home.

I swapped the Racetech rear shock to my bike and changed the oil.  It's ready for the dragon now!

Check how low the oil sump is unloaded(@the kickstand). I going to have to stop over a speed bump and see the clearance.

Installed a new K&N air filter to replace this filthy filter.

Couple days late but pulled the wheels off and had State 8 mount and balance a new set of Pirelli Angel GT II's and reinstall.

I already love these tires!

I rode to MVNU to see my wife and daughter at a district choir camp. I always wanted to ride my bike to college but never did due to the inconvenience. 22 years later I made it happen.

Said goodbye to Strom today.  Had countless great days exploring thousands of miles of backroads, skyline drive, blue ridge parkway, north GA mountains, and beyond, but haven’t really been riding it lately.  So… off to a new owner 👍

Back to just one MC in the garage for the first time in 12 years.

Rewired the crappy USB plug in the glove box to be an SAE connector. Now I have a fast charger instead of a useless slow charge, and another SAE plug for things I may need.

Cracked the airbox and found a DNA filter that removes the frame needed for the oem fitment. filter was dirty on one spot

Had a great ADV ride today on the Trans Ohio Trail Sections 7-6 and 5.

Just finished a 200+ mile back road romp with the wife. Lunch at Theo's Restaurant in Cambridge. Droped down thru Senecaville lake and back west thru McConnelsville and home. V-Strom set up for Street Duties for awhile.

Changed the air filter. Fuck me.

No pics but ripped the bodywork off the bike. Cleaned it. Changed the oil and swapped water back to anti-freeze for the winter. Might flush the brakes in the next coming days. Need to pull the forks and shocks to get them refreshed. Then pull the wheels and bring them inside.

I hate winter.

To prevent any possible issues with the slicks cracking. Plus gotta remove em anyway to pull the forks and shock.

Drained the final drive, greased the splines, and put it all back together. 

 

Not too bad for a bike with over 50k miles.

Rushed home from work and snuck in over 100 miles. I’m afraid it may be my last ride for the year. I hope not, but the weather doesn’t seem to want to cooperate.
