I am a sales administrator at F&P America, a tier-one automotive supplier. We make pedal and subframe assemblies. 90% of our business is from Honda and we also make parts for a few small GM SUVs, a little Toyota business, in the process of aquiring Nissan business, and have done Ford and Mitsubishi in the past.

I would rather be around bikes and dont really like my job but it pays the bills.

+1, but it's still nice to be in the transportation industry. I'd rather be here than working on non-Automotive applications.

Expect for when Auto sales arent doing too good. Honda cut production and is only working 3 day weeks. Our plant had to lay off all the temporary workers but managed to let us work 4 days rather than three. We basically work on Honda's schedule since we do just-in-time inventory. We are a Japanese company, so a lot of things are different than American ran companies.

Lots of nerds on this forum... sweet!

I'm a full time mechanical engineering grad student, I work part time as a project manager for a R&D company, and I do research on semiconductors for thermoelectric devices.

Add me to the nerd list.

I am amazed at all the IT and computer geeks here. Me too, I do graphic design and I'm working on a 2nd degree in web development. Someone on here says they do java work all day, I feel sorry for you, java gives me nightmares.

Maybe a good percentage of us geeks have bikes because we are the ones who can afford it?
